TBC Ladies
Retreat - September 6-7, 2013
Epworth by the Sea,
St. Simon’s Island, GA
At the beginning of the semester the
ladies were invited to attend a retreat planned by Mrs. Lisa Messer
and Mrs. Judy Beemer.
The
ladies were able to bask in their beautiful surroundings as they heard
the lessons “What’s in a Name?” and “Baggage Claim” by Mrs. Lisa
Messer, “What Will You Gain When You Lose?” by Mrs. Bethany Crawford,
and “The Dream Ticket” by Mrs. Wendy McKinnon.
Friendships
were formed during the Amazing Race game as the ladies were placed on
teams and had to rely on each other to decipher the poetic clues
created by Dr. Matthew Beemer. The retreat was offered for a nominal
fee, with the majority of the cost being underwritten by Trinity
Baptist Church. Because of others’ donations, the ladies experienced a
spiritually themed and entertaining weekend that will be the one of
the highlights of their college experiences.
