Trinity Baptist College's Head Women's Basketball and Volley Coach
The
Trinity Baptist College Lady Eagle's sports teams made a name for
themselves in their first year in the NCCAA! It was a great honor to
get these teams started and I believe this next year will be even
better!
I came to Trinity as the head volleyball coach and was blessed to be
asked to be the head women's basketball coach a few months later.
Having played volleyball at Tennessee Temple University and assisted at
my high school alma mater, I was well prepared for the task of starting
a new program. I had a wonderful group of girls to help me ease into
coaching college volleyball. We had a competitive and lively season,
and I could not have asked for a better team to get the program
started.
As my seasons overlapped for a short time, I went from volleyball
practice into basketball practice! It was exciting to see how the
different sports attract different personalities in the athletes.
Basketball holds a unique part of my heart. I started playing as an
eight year old girl and fell in love with it. I played all the way
through high school on the varsity team as well as AAU travel teams.
There is nothing like the atmosphere of a college basketball game, and
my girls made it even more exciting. They made history this season and
I could not be more proud! We won the Southeast Region and went on to the
final four of the national tournament!
As a graduate with a Bachelors in marketing, I never would have
imagined that I would be doing what I am doing today. But I count
myself truly blessed to have the opportunity to minister to female
college athletes the way that I am able to at Trinity.
