Homecoming 2013 - January 25-26
TBC Homecoming is next month! Whether
you live locally or out of state, we would love for you to attend. The
price for the weekend is $25 a person, which includes a catered dinner
Friday evening, a concert, and all of the games on Saturday. Golfing
for the men can also be added for an additional $65, which includes a
boxed lunch. Proceeds go to the Alumni Association. If you are unable
to attend the golf tournament, you can sponsor a hole for $50. To view

Alumni Spotlight: Denver Ayers

 I
still remember wrestling with God in an upper-row seat at a mission’s
conference in Brasov, Romania. I had left my home and base (Air Force)
in Mildenhall, England to help minister to missionaries gathering from
all over Eastern Europe. I had no idea God was going to call me into
the ministry, and when He did, I wrestled with my own agenda and pride
(I still continually subdue that). I remember when I surrendered to
Christ, I remember when I was baptized, and I remember surrendering to
God’s will for my life in ministry! This has been a sustaining force
in my ministry.

Ministry Coaching

One thing we have realized in life is
that everyone needs a coach. More than that, we’re convinced that
every pastor needs strategic help from those outside of their own
ministry to help them navigate the variety of changes and challenges
which they will encounter during certain seasons of life in ministry.
We have spent countless hours working with pastors, but rarely in a
formalized or structured way. So, after much prayer and planning, we
want to invite you to a coaching network designed to help, support,
encourage, resource and equip pastors.

A "THANK YOU" From Dan Shafer
'95
An email was sent out to all alumni after the
destruction of Hurricane Sandy asking for prayer and support to one of
our alumni in the area, Dan Shafer (’95). Below is a message from
him.
I just wanted to say a big “thanks” for sending
out an alumni-wide message last month in regards to our relief efforts
due to Hurricane Sandy’s devastation! A little over 1 month ago, we
began reaching out to our nearest, most-devastated community- the
Rockaways in Queens. I am so thankful for the prayers, sacrificial
giving, and volunteering provided by God’s people this past month to
assist in our ministry efforts. Because of them, thousands of people
received much needed food, hot meals, supplies, and received a gospel
presentation! I am glad to report that there have been professions of
faith and many genuine relationships established with the residents of
Rockaway Beach.

New TBC Board of Trustees
Members
Trinity Baptist College is pleased to
announce the appointment of three new members to the Board of Trustees
effective January 2013:
Dr. Tim Lee
Dr. Lee is head of Tim Lee Ministries, headquartered in Garland,
Texas. He is a nationally known evangelist and a highly decorated
Marine veteran. He has been in full-time evangelism since 1979 and has
preached in 49 states and many foreign countries. Tim has been
connected to Trinity Baptist College for over 30 years and was awarded
an honorary doctorate in 1989.
Dr. Jerry Walls
Dr. Walls is the pastor of Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robbins,
Georgia. Under his leadership, Southside has grown to be one of the
largest churches in the state of Georgia. He was honored with an
honorary degree at Trinity in 2011 and has pastored for over 30 years.
Mr. Daniel Davis
Mr. Davis is the Florida State House Representative for District 15,
which encompasses parts of Duval and Clay counties. He is also
Executive Director of the Northeast Florida Builder’s Association (NEFBA).
He is a graduate of Trinity Christian Academy, Maranatha Baptist Bible
College, and is a faithful member at Trinity Baptist Church.

Student Summit 2013
If you have not already registered your
group for Student Summit on April 4-5, 2013, click here to do so. Once
you have registered, you will be mailed a host kit which includes
everything that you will need to promote the event to your youth:
posters, flyers, registration packets, a biography of speakers, a USB
drive with all materials, and a book written by the conference
speakers, David Nasser and Brent Crow, The Call.
