Alumni Spotlight: Joe Cotroneo
(’06)
- Adult and Collegiate Ministries’ Pastor
of Fellowship Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio
My
name is Joe Cotroneo, and I am the Adult and Collegiate Ministries’
Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. I attended
Trinity Baptist College from 2002 through 2006, where I received a
Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Theology. During my freshman year of
college, I met my wife, Rebekah. Without exaggeration, at the first
sight of Bekah, my heart was captivated. I am sure you can tell that I
am not a very poetic person. Nevertheless, we began dating, and three
years later, in the summer before my senior year, we were married. We
have three wonderful children: a daughter, Addison, age 4; a son,
Landon, age 2; and a “soon to be born” daughter, for whom we are still
debating on a name.

Student Summit 2014 ~ April
3-4, 2014
Here is some feedback that we received from this year’s conference:
My teens loved the Student Summit. I
thought that the conference was absolutely epic and amazing. My teens
walked away with a great perspective on reaching others and changing
the world for the glory of God. I had quite a few teens rededicate
their lives to Christ, and one of my teens received Christ as his
personal Lord and Savior. That in itself made the conference worth it
for me.
Also, I got to show the teens the
college that helped equip me into the youth pastor I am today. The
teens were still talking about the conference this week and how good
of a time they had. Without a doubt all of my teens that attended the
conference walked away excited and refreshed. My prayer for them is
that they will carry this with them as they finish school for the
year. There is not a doubt they will remember this conference for a
lifetime.
My wife loved the conference. She
was excited because she had given her life to Christ at the same exact
conference when she was in high school. It happened to be the same
exact day as well.
I loved the conference and can’t
wait to do it again next year.

Church, Lake City, FL
All of our students really enjoyed
it, but here are a few that stood out...
After the first day, one of our
girls said to me, "I have never considered attending a Christian
college until being here at the Student Summit. This has changed my
mind."
One of our guys shared this with the
church when we returned, "I know God is calling me to youth ministry
and I am going to prepare at Trinity Baptist College.”

Students Serving
At the end of March, a group of
commuter students from TBC volunteered at the Trinity Women’s and
Children’s Shelter in Downtown Jacksonville. They helped install
laminate flooring, and plan to make regular visits to the Mission in
order to volunteer their time. The following week the soccer team also
went to the Shelter to help with the flooring.
