Jon was nominated by Jon Stephens (02). Jon Stephens detailed why Jon Huff was worthy of this award. One of the main reasons he wrote, “My family and I were in a car accident that totaled our car. Jon and Heidi were getting ready to leave for Togo, and he called me and told me the Lord wanted him to GIVE me his 2004 Honda Odyssey. No money, no payment, nothing. They gave us a van worth $15,000 at the time because he loved me and wanted to follow the Lord’s leading. Jon and I were tremendous friends in college. We ran a bus route together, we ran a Student Body President/Vice-President campaign together, and we roomed together one year, but I have never had a friend or stranger show me the love and compassion of Christ as Jon Huff. He deserves to be recognized for being a great example of TBC.”
