Alumni Spotlight: Chad Braley
(05)
Outreach Pastor at First Baptist Church Milford, OH
I, Chad Braley, began attending Trinity Baptist College in the fall of
2001. College was definitely a great time in my life. I enjoyed all
the service opportunities that Trinity Baptist Church allowed me to
participate in while receiving an outstanding education.
After marrying my wife, Laura Braley, also a graduate from Trinity, I
graduated in 2005 and headed off to start my first year in full-time
Christian service! First Baptist Church in Caldwell, NJ is where our
ministry adventures began. I forever will be grateful for Pastor David Bulka
and the people of First Baptist for welcoming me as their youth
pastor. We served there for a little over 2 years and truly learned
the benefits of loving and serving people.
In October of 2007, the Lord chose to move my wife and me back to
serve in our home church of First Baptist Church in Milford, OH, where
we still are currently, serving under Pastor William Duttry. God has
blessed us in numerous ways over the past 5 years, including granting
our desire to become parents. Our daughter, Alivia-Grace, was born in
January 2009 and has increased our love and gratitude to the Lord for
His answered prayers!
God has allowed me to serve in many different capacities, including
being the Senior High Youth Pastor, and I am now currently the
Outreach Pastor. My most recent endeavor has been directing a faith-based addiction program known as Reformers Unanimous. We desire to
reach out to the addicted in our community and do as 2 Timothy 2:25-26
states, "In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God
peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the
truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the
devil, who are taken captive by him at his will." We teach each
student at Reformers Unanimous to walk with God and see the Lord
outwardly and inwardly transform their lives to bring honor and glory
to God! My wife and I have seen the Lord take His Word and change the
lives of many people in this program, and have found great joy in
serving Him in this ministry!
There is much more to do! I have been in the ministry now for 7 years,
and I pray that the Lord will allow me to continue to serve him
faithfully for many more years to come!
